Engagement and performance reviews shouldn’t be surprise parties where we unpack all our unmet expectations and overwhelm the feedback recipient. Instead, we should deliver appreciation, coaching and evaluation feedback as we go. In this session, we’ll explore ideas for delivering feedback throughout the year, inside and outside of the engagement cycle, to make our people feel valued, invested in and respected. We’ll cover benefits of midstream feedback delivery and some simple dos and don’ts, methods for delivering feedback when you can’t be together in person, strategies to help hold the recipient accountable for improvement and to remember the feedback yourself and ideas to track and manage midstream feedback for use in the formal evaluation process. You’ll gain the ability to deliver feedback as you go, so that those you work with are getting better year-round.

This session is available to registrants only.

In this session, we’ll review the ways young professionals are differentiating themselves and “fast-tracking” the path to becoming a partner/owner in a firm. Whether you are in tax, audit or pure advisory, there is no better time than now, early in your career, to “own” a niche, specialty, process or something that will differentiate you as a professional and allow you to pave your own path to partner. Stop worrying about those in front of you and focus on your skillsets and more importantly, how you can differentiate yourself. With opportunities in blockchain, cryptocurrencies, environmental, social, governance (ESG), cannabis, cybersecurity, transaction advisory, research and development, investment and other credits, the list goes on, creating many opportunities for professionals today. After this session, you’ll walk away with the knowledge to stand out from your peers and pave your own path!

This session is available to registrants only.
