Amy Pitter is president and CEO of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs (MassCPAs) where she is dedicated to serving the Society’s 11,000 members in public accounting, industry and business, government and education. Since joining MassCPAs in 2015, Pitter has advocated for increased diversity in the accounting industry and has developed new initiatives to make progress in this area, including launching programs for high school students in gateway cities, helping firms address diversity and inclusion challenges and sponsoring scholarships for low-income students to study accounting. Roberta Reiff Katz, attorney and cultural anthropologist, has been a Senior Research Scholar at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences (CASBS) at Stanford University. At Stanford, she also served as Associate VP for Strategic Planning and as interim Chief of Staff to the President. Ms. Katz was Special Advisor to the Assistant Attorney General for Antitrust, U.S. Department of Justice, in 2009-10. In prior years, Ms. Katz was Senior VP and General Counsel of Netscape Communications Corporation and of McCaw Cellular Communications (now AT&T Wireless) and its subsidiary, LIN Broadcasting Corporation. She is a co-author of Gen Z, Explained: The Art of Living in a Digital Age, published by the University of Chicago Press in 2021. She has served on various advisory and nonprofit boards, including as Chair of the Board of the Exploratorium, a renowned science museum in San Francisco.
