Amy Pitter Named to Most Powerful Women in Accounting List

AMY PITTER NAMED TO MOST POWERFUL WOMEN IN ACCOUNTING LIST

CEO of Massachusetts Society of CPAs Acknowledged for
Work in Increasing Diversity

[BOSTON, MA] November 20, 2017—The Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA), the professional association for CPAs in the state, today announced that Amy Pitter, president and CEO of the organization, was named to CPA Practice Advisor’slist of Most Powerful Women in Accounting for 2017. The Brookline resident was recognized for her contributions to the accounting industry, specifically her efforts to increase diversity.

According to CPA Practice Advisor, the most influential leaders in the accounting profession are increasingly female professionals who are CPAs, consultants or developers behind the technologies that help all accounting and tax pros be more efficient and productive.

Pitter was one of 25 women selected from across the country.

“I am very proud to be named among these incredible women,” said Pitter. “Sustaining a vibrant and diverse accounting workforce is one of the main goals of the MSCPA, and it’s great to be recognized by a national group for that important work.”

Nominations were open to the public on CPA Practice Advisor’s website and the final selection of this year’s recipients was determined by the publication’s editorial staff and editorial advisory board.

The awards were announced and presented at QuickBooks Connect, which was held November 15-17 in San Jose., California.
