Whether you’ve been with the Society for years or you’re new to our community, there are countless ways to get involved and make the most of your membership.

The ERISA Accounting and Auditing Committee encourages and supports the unique needs of Society members who perform ERISA/Department of Labor (DOL) audits, including 401K, 403B and health and welfare plans.

The Government Accounting and Auditing Committee meets monthly to discuss hot topics and provide updates on developments in governmental accounting and auditing to assist the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) with the issuance of improved generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS).

The Young Professionals Committee meets quarterly and features guest speakers and member spotlights to highlight the different backgrounds of and career paths for accounting professionals. It is a place to develop soft skills and connect with peers across the industry to grow your network. The group also helps the Society build and diversify the accounting pipeline and the next generation of CPAs.

Our CPA Pathways series highlights the different careers and career paths of CPAs, both in industry and public accounting.

The Nonprofit Accounting and Auditing Committee meets monthly to monitor changes in accounting, auditing, tax and regulatory developments as they relate to the nonprofit world, excluding hospitals and nursing homes. The Women in Accounting (WIA) Committee meets quarterly with the mission of helping to support and motivate our membership. The group promotes an environment where women are inspired to identify and realize their professional goals and where organizations of all sizes provide opportunities for women’s advancement.
