Self Aware Leading and Collaborative Teaming to kick off 360

-

Boston

8.00 Credits

Member Price: $2715

Strong individual contributors who are technical experts in their own discipline frequently get promoted into positions of organizational leadership. Unfortunately, the technical expertise that earned them a leadership role is often not the same skill set needed to lead effectively. In this session, we’ll cover different leadership styles and how to effectively manage a range of diverse teams and individuals. We’ll also discuss ways to shift from a detail-oriented, tactical point-of-view to a strategic perspective that considers the broader organizational picture and introduce the Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI©), a 360-degree leadership assessment to gather information from each participant’s direct reports, peers, managers and other individuals with whom the participant regularly interacts. The findings from this assessment provide participants with a report that identifies strengths and areas for development.

Difficult Conversations

-

Boston

4.00 Credits

Member Price: $1357

Difficult conversations are part of life, especially in the workplace where leaders are expected to give (and receive) feedback, say "no" and address problematic interpersonal behaviors. In this session, participants will discuss various approaches to having difficult conversations successfully by learning how to better prepare for them, what key phrases and questions to use, how to respond to the reactions of others and how to better manage their own fears and emotions around difficult conversations.

Conflict and Negotiation

-

Boston

4.00 Credits

Member Price: $1357

In this session, we’ll cover elements critical for managing conflict effectively, including the importance of identifying and understanding how others handle conflict, knowing your own strengths and weaknesses and setting goals and objectives for how your organization manages conflict. Negotiation principles are introduced as a method of resolving conflicts and disputes, as well as a necessary skill for influencing and problem solving both within organizations and between organizations and their clients.

Inclusive Leadership/Leading with Empathy

-

Boston

4.00 Credits

Member Price: $1357

For organizations striving to build more inclusive cultures, leaders play an important role. Not only do they need to feel comfortable advocating for inclusion and articulating the value of diversity, they need to feel comfortable talking about the challenges, issues and differences that invariably are part of the DEI conversation. This in person session, we would focus on how unconscious bias influences group dynamics and interpersonal communication. Learning objectives include: to help leaders and managers get more comfortable holding, initiating or facilitating uncomfortable conversations to promote more open dialogue in the workplace, and more. This course is for anyone who are in a leadership position looking to promote diversity
