Financial Managers are continually asked to do more with less. Without a practical working knowledge of lean techniques, it is virtually impossible to get the most out of your accounting operation. This course will help participants understand lean concepts and techniques and how to apply these tools to their office environment. It will focus strongly on the ability to recognize and eliminate wasteful operations within the accounting department.

Designed For

This course is designed for anyone that is interested in improving the overall daily effectiveness of the accounting function. Participants will be asked to look at their job and their processes through “new glasses.” The tools and techniques are applicable for all levels of individuals.

Objectives

Learn the history of lean and relation to today’s operations. Learn the major principles of lean. Learn how to identify and eliminate WASTE. Identify new, leaner approaches to current accounting processes. Learn how to lead change management successfully. Understand the role of benchmarking and the conflict with lean principles.

James (Jim) T. Lindell is the President of a Wisconsin based provider of strategic & financial consulting, professional speaking, training, and executive coaching. Jim has an extensive background in senior management including positions as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Assistant Controller. James Lindell is a Certified Public Accountant with public accounting experience at several local and regional accounting firms. He is a TEC Chairman (The Executive Committee). He is a member (and instructor) of the American Institute of CPA’s and the Wisconsin Institute of CPA’s and a member of Wisconsin Chapter of National Speaker Association.
