Treasurer of the Board of Directors
We are seeking a volunteer Treasurer to join the board of Neighborhood School. We have selected the next school leader who will succeed the founding Director in June 2025 The Treasurer will play a crucial role partnering with the Director during this year of leadership succession to ensure the financial stability and long-term fiscal health of the school.
Responsibilities: - Oversee the school’s financial accounts, budget planning, and financial forecasting to ensure alignment with the school’s goals and objectives. - Work closely with the incoming school leader to understand the schools bookkeeping and accounts management which supports the schools operational needs and in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. - With the Director, present periodic financial reports to the school board and other stakeholders, highlighting trends, forecasts, and financial health. - Coordinate the annual audit process, including the selection of auditors, facilitating audits, and ensuring adherence to financial laws and regulations. - Provide strategic advice and guidance on financial matters to the school leader and board members.
